We're designating the weekend of March 4 the Weekend of Arts Conferences, and are proud to provide two incredible arts business and education opportunities. For our arts education students, check out ArtsLINK for an arts-integrated pre-service teaching conference hosted at the Beverley Taylor Sorenson Arts and Education Complex. And for students interested in the business side of the things, ArtsForce is hosting the Business of Arts Symposium along with its annual networking luncheon with local arts professionals and campus organizations.

ArtsLINK is a FREE arts teaching conference for university students who are interested in gaining teaching skills and a deeper understanding of best practices when working alongside young people in the arts. The focus of ArtsLINK is arts integration. Participants will rotate through theater, dance, visual/media arts, and music education workshops. The master arts educators have chosen the same book and built lesson plans that connect all of the art forms and content areas. Participants will receive a copy of the book, each lesson plan, a bag, breakfast, and lunch. Since the conference is open to College of Fine Arts and College of Education students from across the state, U of U students will have the opportunity to network and meet new colleagues.
